From My Heart To Yours

June 6, 2022

After 22 years of being a full time songwriter and singer and 24 albums of original songs, I felt the time was right to make a collection of heartfelt songs with a dash of humour mixed in. My hope and prayer is that as you listen, you will find a sense of peace, tranquility and purpose for your life as I have found in God.

A time of reflection upon your childhood to adult years, no matter how troubled and worrisome and come away knowing that all is not lost. There is an anchor that we can hold to in the storms of life who will never let go of us. His name is Jesus and he has been there for many a weary traveller on this road called Life. His guiding hand has steadied not only little children and adults, but his peace can be seen under not just a few wrinkled faces whose days are nearly done.

Surely we can trust this one who inspired songs such as “Amazing Grace”, to walk us through whatever valley we face in this world of broken promises, crooked business and even phoney religion. We can rest assured that He is the “Real deal”.

“Old Possum”

This is one of Trevor’s remedies for helping his sciatic nerve problem. He looks like an “old possum” don’t ya think?

The Car Collection Story

May 9, 2017

I am not a car nut and never have been one. You will find no car magazines in my home. If my cars get me from point “A” to point “B,” that’s all I ask them to do; even, if people laugh at me at stop signs.

From 2005 to 2017 the Lord in His own way has provided me with 9 different little, 3 cylinder cars, ranging in age from 1991 to 2000 and mostly all of them are Geos. Some have cost as little a little as $1,000. The savings on new car payments and gas over those 12 years has allowed me to put out 8 of the 11 CDs produced during that time. Without these cars those CDs would not have happened and ministry would have ceased.

Those who call me stingy have no idea what it takes to do ministry in a bankrupt church age, where most Christians spend more on dog food than on missions. Ah, but God knows and has supplied our needs, even if it means sleeping in the car at truck-stops at times.

Recently I ran into some back problems resulting in a painful sciatic nerve issue. It is difficult and illegal to drive with my right leg on the other side of the car. So, a change was needed. Now, at age 55, I finally need a vehicle with a bench seat and cruise control to continue with the long travel.

The 2014, Toyota Rav 4 to the left in the picture here is now my horse for the road. If this nerve issue goes away I may be able to use my little fleet again, but maybe it is just time for a change. God knows the wear and tear that travel like this can put on a body and the new vehicle is very likely God providing a way to continue on.

I am very thankful for all that God has done for us through the years. He truly does take care of us like the little birds and the lilies of the field.
